Olympic style sparring is a great way for kids & adults to gain confidence, utilize their Taekwondo skills in a “real world” environment and lose their fear of confrontation and loss. Through a careful program of instruction, that adheres to all child safety rules, we center the training on the latest sport taekwondo methods including, sparring drills, pad drills, hogu drills, plyometrics and sport specific strength and endurance training.
Our adult program is for students over age 12 and is a more in-depth application of the latest sport taekwondo methods of instruction. We practice the same drills and sport specific training as our competition team but recognizing that many adult students participate to relieve stress, gain confidence by participating in full contact sparring and to benefit from the full body workout, we maintain a casual approach to competition training.
This training is for our Olympic style sparring students with a focus on becoming an elite sport taekwondo competitor. This training is fast-paced and singularly focused on National and International competitions. In addition to the latest sport taekwondo training methods we teach sparring strategies and advanced drills, learned by GM Jimenez over his more than 20 years of national and international competition experience. This program is an add-on program for our members as well as a stand alone program for students who wish to compete at the elite level.
